Application The thin-set tile adhesive is intended for
- unstable substrates – Knauf dry floors;
- structures with single-layer and multi-layer drywall coverings;
- moisture-resistant wooden surfaces, following relevant guidelines;
- surfaces exposed to sudden temperature changes;
- balconies and terraces;
- surfaces directly exposed to moisture;
- warm floors;
- gluing new tiles to old ones.
Suitable for:
- clinker tiles intended for facade finishing;
- non-transparent natural stone slabs gluing;
- gluing water-absorbent and non-absorbent tiles
Substrate The substrate must be even, stable, frost-free, free of dust, paint, and oil residues.
Mixing Mix the contents of the bag with clean water by hand or with a slowly rotating mixer until a homogeneous mass without lumps forms. Wait 5 minutes for it to hydrate and mix again. The consistency of the adhesive can be adjusted by adding additional powder or water.
Amount of water For 25 kg of powder, add approximately 6–7 liters of water.
Application Apply the mixed mixture with the straight side of a notched trowel over the entire prepared surface. Then, using the notched side of the trowel, tilted at a 90° angle (the trowel's teeth are selected according to the size of the tile), trowel out. With gentle circular movements, press the tile firmly into the prepared adhesive layer. If a film has formed on the upper adhesive layer (check with your finger!), remove the adhesive and apply it again. The setting time and adjustment depend on the substrate and tile absorption properties, as well as the air and substrate temperature.
Joint filling Only fill joints when the adhesive has fully cured. Wall tile joints – not sooner than after 1 day, floor tile joints – not sooner than after 2 days.
