ROCLITE U-block Installation
To create monolithic concrete beams, U-blocks are glued using block adhesive, forming a smooth and monolithic lintel. When selecting reinforcement for the ROCLITE U-block, it is necessary to consider the design rules for reinforced concrete structures. When pouring lintels from ROCLITE U-blocks, all specified requirements for working with concrete must be followed. Panels, beams, etc., can only be installed after the concrete has gained the necessary strength, and it must be considered that the elements should rest on the concrete, not on the edges of the U-blocks.
Two methods can be used to create lintels from ROCLITE U-blocks:
1. Lintels are formed on a stable base on the construction site and are moved to the required location with the help of a crane after curing.
2. A wooden beam is installed above the area (window opening, door opening, etc.) where the lintel is to be installed, and U-blocks are placed on it. The U-blocks are then filled with reinforcement and concrete.
The lintels made from ROCLITE U-blocks must bear on the walls by no less than 250 mm. Only standard-sized blocks should be used at support points.
