The rope is made from 100% high-strength polypropylene multifilament fibers. The rope can be used in chemical environments, is resistant to UV radiation, and has a medium level of abrasion resistance. This soft, non-sinking rope is lighter than polyester and polyamide ropes. Under load, the elongation is about 25%. Attractive price and wide range of uses are the main reasons for its popularity. Polypropylene ropes are widely used as auxiliary ropes in shipping, freight transport, fishing, construction works, agriculture, and everyday tasks.
