Application. One-component gypsum plaster suitable for use on all conventional substrates, in all indoor environments with normal humidity, including wet areas in living spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens. Suitable for use as a repair mix or decorative finish. Provides a better microclimate, excellent "breathability," meaning it is permeable to water vapors. Intended for hand application.
Substrate. The substrate must be dry, stable, clean, unfrozen, free of loose particles and unmoistened, as well as water-absorbent. There should be no oil or other contaminants from formwork on concrete surfaces. Electrical wiring must be plastered with a layer at least 5 mm thick. Concrete surfaces and reinforced concrete ceilings should be primed with Knauf Betokontakt primer. All types of masonry walls and highly moisture-absorbent surfaces should be primed with Knauf Stuc Primer (dilutable) and allowed to dry completely.
Procedure. Pour the mix into clean water (30 kg + approximately 17 l) and mix with a spiral mixer until no lumps remain. Apply the material to the surface and level it with a profiled “H” shaped ruler, finishing the leveling of the plaster plane with a trapezoidal ruler, then moisten the plaster surface with a sponge and smooth it out. The average thickness of the plaster layer is 10 mm, minimum is 5 mm. Ceilings should be plastered in one layer only. If tiling is planned, apply only one layer; the surface must not be treated with a sponge and must not be filled or sanded; in this case, the minimum thickness of the plaster layer is 10 mm. The material should be applied to the surface and leveled within 20 minutes of preparing the mortar.
Working Time. From the moment of preparing the mortar, approximately 1–1.5 hours, depending on the substrate of the plaster and the surrounding environmental conditions. Dirty dishes and working tools shorten the working time.
Storage. Usable for 6 months from the date of manufacture. Store in dry rooms on wooden pallets. Open bags should be tightly closed and used first.
Material Consumption. Approximately 0.8 kg/m2 if the layer thickness is 1 mm.
