Usage The thin-layer tile adhesive is designed for: unstable substrates - Knauf dry floors; constructions with single and multi-layer gypsum board finishes; moisture-resistant wooden surfaces, provided that the necessary instructions are followed; surfaces subjected to sudden temperature changes; balconies and terraces; surfaces directly exposed to moisture; heated floors and walls; new tiles to be adhered to old ones.
Suitable for: bonding marble and granite slabs and tiles; bonding ceramic and glass mosaic tiles; bonding glass blocks; bonding partially transparent natural stone slabs and tiles; bonding water-absorbing and non-absorbing tiles; bonding clinker tiles intended for façade finishes.
Base The base must be flat, non-frozen, free of dust, paint, and grease residues. If tiles are laid on plastered surfaces, the plaster layer must be at least 10 mm thick and not smoothed out.
Mixing Mix the contents of the mixture with clean water manually or in a slowly rotating mixer until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed. Wait 5 minutes for the mass to mature, and mix again. The consistency of the adhesive can be adjusted by adding additional powder or water.
Water quantity: Add approximately 7-8 liters of water to 25 kg of powder.
Application Apply the mixed adhesive with the smooth side of a notched trowel onto the prepared surface. Then, comb with the notched side of the trowel positioned at a 90° angle (the trowel teeth must be selected according to the tile size). Gently rotate, and firmly press the tile into the prepared adhesive layer. If a film forms on the adhesive surface (check with a finger!), the adhesive must be cleaned off and reapplied. The setting time and adjustments depend on the base and tile absorption properties, as well as the air temperature. When bonding outdoors and laying tiles on floors, the tile adhesive must ensure grip across the entire tile surface. In these cases, the tile adhesive must be applied to both the tiles and the base. Use only clean tools and containers!
Grouting Joints should only be grouted when the adhesive has fully cured. Wall tile joints - no sooner than after 1 day, floor tile joints - no sooner than after 2 days.
