FLUID TILE ADHESIVE KNAUF K1 N C1TE 25KG

Application Thin-layer adhesive designed for stable, moderately loaded substrates. Suitable for: bonding medium-sized, water-absorbent ceramic tiles; degreased, opaque natural stone slabs and tiles, with the addition of the adhesive additive Kleber- & Boden-Elast; tile bonding on heated floors, balconies, and terraces, using the adhesive additive Kleber- & Boden-Elast.
Base The base must be flat, stable, frost-free, and free of dust, paint, and oil stains. If tiles are adhered to a plastered surface, the plaster layer must be one, at least 10 mm thick, and unpolished.
Mixing Mix the contents of the bag with clean water by hand or in a slowly rotating mixer until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed. Allow to stand for 5 minutes until the adhesive has swelled, then mix again. The adhesive consistency can be adjusted by adding powder or water.
Water amount Approximately 6–7 liters of water is added for 25 kg of powder.
Application Apply the mixed mixture to the entire prepared surface with the smooth side of a notched trowel. Then comb with the notched side of the trowel, holding it at a 90° angle (the trowel teeth are chosen according to the tile size). Firmly press the tile into the prepared adhesive layer with gentle circular movements. If a film has formed on the upper adhesive layer (check with your finger!), remove the adhesive and apply it again. The laying time and correction depend on the absorbent properties of the substrate and tile, as well as the temperature of the air and substrate.
Joint filling Fill the joints only after the adhesive has completely hardened. Wall tile joints – not before 1 day, floor tile joints – not before 2 days.
